2015 Fair

Thank you to everyone who came and supported the fair in 2015. We couldn’t have hoped for better weather and hope you all had a great day.

Extra special thanks goes to every one of the volunteers and all the supporting local groups for making it happen, and for making it feel such a community event.

The new organising committee staged this year’s fair from a standing start with zero funds or equipment.

Although the total cost to put on the event was just under £1800 we are pleased to confirm that the total income generated from the 2015 fair was almost £3550, leaving a profit of just over £1750.

Of this, it was agreed that £905 (just over half) was to be given back to the village community groups that contributed to the fair. The remainder of the monies will be retained in the Waltham Charter Fair bank account and used to stage the 2016 fair.

Supporting groups that benefited from donations in 2015 included:

  • Friends of Waltham on the Wolds Primary School (FOWS)
  • Waltham on the Wolds Preschool
  • St. Mary Magdalene Church
  • Waltham Scottish Dancers
  • 1st Waltham Beavers Group
  • Jack Mills’ & Ben Sharp’s charitable Borneo Expedition

More detail on the costs and income generated at the 2015 fair is available by request.
