Thank you for your interest in our annual fair.
The fair changed committee and format in 2015, changing venue to the Waltham on the Wolds Village Hall and Playing Fields and reducing the duration of the fair to the one day rather than the full weekend.
A similar format to previous years is still being applied with an emphasis on a traditional family fun day, aiming to provide attractions and entertainment for all ages and interests. Involvement is encouraged from all groups within and local to the village and all proceeds go back to supporting groups and village causes.
Based on the last couple of years, we expect footfall of approximately 350 adults (weather dependent), plus children and optimise the layout of the fair in such a way that people are encouraged to walk around all areas. Early booking and detailed information of stalls help us to plan this out in advance as well as restrict similar stalls where possible. For 2018 we are trialling moving the date to June to hopefully encourage more people to attend.
We are looking to host as wide a variety of stalls and entertainment as possible and would particularly like to encourage any local businesses or stallholders to join us.
There is a £15 charge for all (non-catering) stalls (preferential rates may be available for local charitable fundraising stalls) and bookings should not be considered confirmed until an email confirmation is provided. An outdoor pitch of 4mx4m is provided as standard although other sizes may be provided by arrangement. Some indoor pitches may be available by arrangement.
